Simple super green smoothie bowls packed with tons of greens and customizable toppings! The healthiest and easiest way to turn a smoothie into a meal. This smoothie bowl is absolutely delicious. Plus, it’s simple (as always), requiring just 15 minutes to make, and entirely customizable. I provide a basic round-up of ingredients for you to start with so you can then experiment and make this bowl your own.

Ingredients

Topping

  • 1 dark (70-80%) chocolate, chopped (optional)

  • 1 tbsp. dessicated coconut

  • 15 almonds, chopped

  • 20 pumpkin seeds / pepitas

  • pomegranate seeds

  • 1 kiwi fruit, sliced

  • 6 strawberries, sliced

  • 5 dates, soaked in boiling water

  • 4 tsp. maple syrup

  • 1 tbsp. juice of lime

  • 75 g young spinach, washed

  • 1/2 cup raw buckwheat, soaked overnight

  • 2 large bananas

Method

  • 01
Rinse soaked buckwheat well. Soaking will make it a little bit ‘slippery’, don’t worry that’s normal and you won’t be able to taste that.
  • 02
Pop all the smoothie ingredients into a blender with 2 icecubes and just enough water to make it possible for the blender to make a smooth, thick liquid.
  • 03
Divide the mixture between two bowls and pile your favourite toppings on top.
