Ground turkey recipes have a bad rep for being bland and boring. But this Turkey meatloaf is LOADED with flavor. How? Worcestershire garlic, rosemary, and thyme. And ketchup. When it comes to any kind of meatloaf (beef included!), there must be ketchup. Meatloaf tends to look done on the outside before it’s ready. And it won't hold together properly unless it's fully cooked! So even if you like a medium-rare burger, you DO NOT want a medium-rare meatloaf. Before slicing your meatloaf, let it rest for at least 15 minutes. Otherwise, it’ll be harder to get clean slices. Since it was in the oven for over an hour, you won’t risk it going cold too quickly.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. Brown sugar

  • 1/3 c. Ketchup

  • 1 Large egg

  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 c. Milk

  • 3/4 c. Bread crumbs

  • 2 pounds Ground turkey

  • 1 tsp. chopped thyme leaves

  • 1 tbsp. Finely chopped rosemary

  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced

  • Freshly ground black pepper

  • Kosher salt

  • 1 Large onion, chopped

  • 1 tbsp. Extra-virgin olive oil

Method

  • 01
Preheat oven to 325℉ and lightly grease a large deep baking dish with cooking spray. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper then stir in garlic and herbs. Cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • 02
In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, milk, Worcestershire, egg, and cooked vegetables until combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  • 03
On a prepared baking dish, form meat mixture into a loaf. In a small bowl, stir ketchup and brown sugar until combined, then brush over loaf. Bake until internal temperature reaches 160℉, about 1 hour 20 minutes.
