Well, I don't know about Santa's trash, but these cookies are sweet and salty -- and delicious Even Santa has a naughty side. These cookies are loaded with chocolate chips, sprinkles, pretzels, and potato chips for the salty-sweet dessert of your dreams. Santa's Trash Cookies are better than presents. Try it out!

Ingredients

  • Flaky sea salt, for garnish

  • 3 tbsp. Red and green sprinkles

  • 1/3 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1/3 cup Crushed pretzels

  • 1/3 cup Crushed potato chips

  • 1/4 tsp. Kosher salt

  • 1 tsp. Baking soda

  • 2 1/4 cups All-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp. Vanilla

  • 1 Large egg

  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar

  • 3/4 cup Unsalted butter, at room temperature

Method

    Preheat oven to 350℉ and line two baking sheets with parchment. In a large bowl using a hand mixer, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy, 3 to 4 minutes.

    Beat in egg and vanilla until combined.

    In another large bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. Add dry ingredients to wet and mix until smooth. (Dough will be thick.)

    Gently fold in potato chips, pretzels, chocolate chips, and sprinkles.

    Scoop tablespoon-size balls of dough and transfer them to prepared baking sheets. Slightly press them down onto baking sheets and sprinkle with sea salt.

    Bake until edges are just starting to get golden, 7 to 8 minutes.

    Remove from oven and let cool 2 to 3 minutes, then transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
